The Easy Way to Content Batch
Here's an unpopular opinion. Content batching SUCKS!!! (At least for me!) Even though people say to have batch content a month in advance, I believe that you’re perfectly ok with making a plan a week in advance. Heck, sometimes a day or the day of.
I'm not a huge fan of batch content creation. Content creation shouldn't feel like a chore, but you know real life gets in the way. When I have to write content ahead of time, I feel very constrained and it's hard to stay on topic.
Here’s why:
People think you should have it all set in stone a month prior and while that’s great advice, the truth is for creatives like you and I, it doesn’t always happen this way. My previous experience with trying to come up with ideas in advance has led me to overwhelm.
Here's a better way:
Print out a calendar or use your current one. Write out a theme for the days of the week you actually post. So for example, I post M-F so my themes look like this:
🌟Monday: Motivation Monday
🌟Tuesday: Tech Tuesdays
🌟Wednesday: PSA
🌟Thursday: Business Promotion Thursdays
🌟Friday: Fun Fridays
When you sit down to plan your content for the month or week or daily, you will at least know what direction you will need to focus on for that day. Then take all this information and add it to the Trello: Content Planner Board for weekly social media success.
